Posted by ,

Playing Blackjack online can be a fun experience if you know what you are doing. Given that there is a lot at stake, you may find yourself losing to the house more than you like. Here are some easy tips to follow so that you can make sure you win your next game of 21.

Aim of The Blackjack Online Game

As with any casino game, it is good to figure out exactly what it is you are trying to achieve when you play the game. So when you start playing Blackjack online, you will find that this is a banker’s game. In the game, you have to try to get a hand with a total of 21. If your hand is more than the banker’s hand, you win, but you should not have a hand with more than 21 in it.

How to Play the Game of 21?

Blackjack online is played with a deck of 52 cards. This deck does not contain any jokers, so you are playing with only the most essential card values here. You can play the game by starting with the chip size that you wish to wager with. You can buy your chips from the dealer online and then place the bet on your hand. The points assigned to each card depends on its value. The number cards are assigned points according to their number value. The Jack, Queen and King have a value of 10 points for each card, and finally you have the Ace that can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on what you wish to play it as when you are revealing your hand.

Dealing and Betting

You get two cards when the game of Blackjack online begins. These are dealt to you face upwards and the dealer also has two cards dealt, one of which is dealt face upwards and the other face downwards. The one that is dealt face down is called the hole card. There is a minimum wager that you can make on a game of Blackjack, and there is also a maximum wager that you cannot exceed. You can choose how much you wish to wager before the cards are dealt. Here are actions that can take place once you have placed your wager:

  • Lose: The dealer takes the player’s wager
  • Win: The player can win the wager amount, along with the amount that they bet on the hand.
  • Blackjack: Here, the player gets 1.5x the wager amount.
  • Push: This is a draw, so you neither win nor lose money. You can keep the amount that you had bet on the hand.

Winning The Game

When you play a Blackjack hand, you can make a good hand if you have an Ace along with one of the ten point cards. This is called a natural 21 or a Blackjack and so you stand to win 1.5x your wager amount. You can win if you have this hand, but if the dealer also has a Blackjack, the player gets a push. If the dealer has the Blackjack but any of the players don’t have a Blackjack, the player suffers a lose action.
